The hotel's decoration is simply charming, with beautiful Tuscan touches that transport you to another era. The general areas are spacious and well-maintained, perfect for leisurely strolls or relaxation. As a senior woman, I really appreciated how accessible the hotel was. The staff was always ready to assist, and there were ramps and handrails throughout the property, making it easy for me to navigate and enjoy my vacation.
I would have loved if there were more activities specifically catered to senior guests.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at this countryside retreat. the staff were extremely kind and accommodating, going out of their way to fit us in for dinner even though we hadn't booked ahead. the food was excellent, with both the dinner and breakfast being delicious. We especially loved the four course dinner, which included mouthwatering appetizers, pasta, meat, and a delectable dessert. the location of the property was breathtaking, with beautiful views over the valley. the peaceful and quiet surroundings made for a truly relaxing stay.
This may be a challenge traveling by foot or bicycle, as the uphill journey can be tiring. without a dinner reservation, guests would have to drive or cycle to the nearest town, which is a few miles away and uphill.

We had a truly magical romantic getaway in the heart of Tuscany. the stunning views of the Val D'Orcia were absolutely mesmerizing, creating the perfect backdrop for a romantic escape. the warm and attentive service made us feel like cherished guests, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. the homemade food was simply divine, offering delicious flavors that satisfied our taste buds.
The only drawback was the distance we had to drive or walk to reach nearby attractions. this was a small inconvenience compared to the overall experience.

As young people, we loved the incredible hot springs nearby, perfect for relaxation after our long walk on the Via Francigena. the owner personally picked us up and brought us to our beautiful and gated countryside accommodations. the farm-to-table food was delicious, with a special mention to the gluten-free options that exceeded our expectations. the comfortable beds and in-room fireplace added a cozy touch, while the stunning bathroom with a heavenly tub was the ultimate reward for our journey.
Felt like part of the family, couldn't find anything to complain about.

stunning views, immaculate grounds, friendly staff made our short stay at Selvella exceptional. Pool and outdoor dining space were perfect. They even found and kept our daughter's lost stuffed animal until we returned. Wonderful!

Loved the delicious breakfast, especially the homemade cakes and biscuits. The property is beautiful and the swimming pool offers stunning views. The cooking lessons were a fun experience. So glad most of the energy used is renewable.
Oh, I just adored the yappy dogs that kept barking all night long. Such a charming lullaby.

The suite we stayed in was absolutely amazing! It had a full kitchen and a jacuzzi, which added a touch of luxury to our romantic escape. The location was also perfect, with breathtaking views of the countryside and easy access to nearby attractions. We loved taking a dip in the large pool, it was so refreshing and relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the incredible dinner they served, it was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations.
Although our overall experience was wonderful, there were a few minor setbacks. When we arrived, there was nobody at the reception and we had to wait and call for someone to assist us.

The scenery surrounding the hotel was breathtaking, with stunning views of the Tuscan hills and charming medieval villages. the spacious pool area was a highlight, offering a refreshing retreat with an expansive view. the breakfast spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. the location was convenient, being close to hot springs and a beautiful town.
The smoky smell in the room due to the wood stove, which at times was uncomfortable. Another negative aspect was an early wake-up call caused by the noise of a delivery truck.
